In Atlanta, Georgia, the eviction process typically starts with the landlord serving the tenant with a written notice, such as a demand for possession or a notice to quit, depending on the reason for the eviction; this is normally 10-days.

Failure to Correct or Vacate

If the tenant fails to correct the violation or vacate the property within the time period, the landlord may file a claim. The tenant will receive a summons to appear in court on a specific date and time.
